The Environmental Protection Department of the HKSAR Government sought tenders for the Integrated Waste Management Facilities Phase 2, a waste-to-energy incineration facility located in Tsang Tsui, Tuen Mun, New Territories.
The works are for the Design, Construction and Operation of facilities to receive Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) from the refuse transfer stations and other sources and treat 6,000 tpd of MSW using moving grate incineration technology, and Incineration Bottom Ash (IBA) delivered from IPARK1 together with all IBA generated from IPARK2 by means of wet IBA treatment.
The project is situated at the middle ash lagoon at Tsang Tsui, Tuen Mun, New Territories. This lagoon, along with the east and west lagoons built in the 1980s, was previously leased to Castle Peak Power Company Limited (CAPCO) for storing pulverised fuel ash (PFA).
Scope
The key scope of work Cranborne delivered on this project was

- P6 construction schedule and narrative; and
- Schedule optimisation using ALICE Optimize — feasibility proven, the schedule tested with 4 months delay, and 6 months contingency added.
