China State Construction (Hong Kong) Ltd were awarded the contract for 1701 Oyster Bay station and Associated Works in December 2023. 1701 Oyster Bay station was to be built around the existing Airport Express Link (AEL), Tung Chung Line (TCL) and Disneyland Rail Line (DRL) and is envisaged to be a multi-level station with at-grade, side-platforms and three link bridges over the operating main line, linking to the new property development.

The base schedule was built using Primavera P6 and the schedule optimisation was done using ALICE Technologies’ parametric, AI-powered Generative Scheduling software, Optimize. For the 4D schedule we used Bentley Synchro.

Scope

We deployed members of our AI generative scheduling team to optimise the ongoing work and

  • Reduced the programme period for a scope of more than 500 bored piles by 17%;
  • Removed engineering risk of concurrent work within a 10m radius of each pile; and
  • Removed safety risk of concurrent work within a 150m² area for each pile crew.

Result

  • Programme period−17%
    baselineoptimised
  • Production rate+35%
