Wynn Resorts Limited sought tenders for the Wynn Palace – East Hi-Rise Tower Expansion project in Macau, China, expanding the current capacity of Wynn Palace. The expansion will have 33 bored piles of 3000mm diameter at depths ranging from 95m to 130m. The aim was to optimise the installation schedule in order to reduce cost, programme and project risk as part of the Contractor’s offer.
The base schedule was built using Primavera P6 and the schedule optimisation was done using ALICE Technologies’ parametric, AI-powered Generative Scheduling software, Optimize. For the 4D schedule we used Bentley Synchro.
Scope
We deployed members of our AI generative scheduling team to optimise the schedule and
- Reduce the planned duration by 22%;
- Increase crew efficiency by 40%; and
- Add 6 months risk contingency and remove engineering risk from concurrent work within a 10m radius of each pile.
