Aurecon Hong Kong Limited were awarded the contract for 1609 Planning & Statutory Advisory Services for Northern Link Spur Line in late 2025. The Northern Link Spur Line connects to the Northern Link Main Line which includes Kwu Tung Station on the East Rail Line, the Main Line and the Spur Line. The Spur Line connects the interchange San Tin Station to the new Huanggang Port in Shenzhen via Chau Tau and The Loop stations. The Spur Line will connect to San Tin Station on the Northern Link Main Line and provide direct connectivity between Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
The Works under this project include, amongst other things, a new terminal station at Huanggang Port; two intermediate stations along the Project alignment at The Loop and Chau Tau; 7km of twin tunnel sections from Huanggang Port to San Tin Station on the Northern Link Mainline; and Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) launching and retrieval shafts.
Scope
An NEC4 contract, we provided planning and programming support for the Initial Works Programme, and the key scope of work Cranborne delivered was
- Schedule and sequence optioneering;
- Construction planning and sequencing; and
- P6 construction schedule and narrative.
