Changi Airports Group (CAG) sought tenders for the Works to T5A and T5B Superstructure and Associated Airfield for Changi East Development.
The Changi East Development's T5A Superstructure and Associated Airfield project involves constructing a major part of Changi Airport's Terminal 5, set to open in the mid-2030s with a 50-million passenger annual capacity. This mega-terminal, part of a wider ~1,080-hectare development, will feature a “roof leaf” design, extensive sustainable technologies, and integrated transport links. Located east of the current airport, T5 is designed to handle 50 million passengers annually in its initial phase, with the potential to scale, bringing total capacity to 135–140 million. The terminal features a modular design with overlapping roof leaves that allow natural light and allow it to operate as smaller sub-terminals if needed. The project includes extensive airfield, taxiway, and apron works.
Scope
Employed by RBG, the key scope of work Cranborne delivered as the Interface Management Subject Matter Expert (SME) included
- Recommend a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Workflow for the Construction Plan Proposal, and the content of the Interface Programme.
- Provide templates for Interface Control Documents and the Interface Control Register, with examples.
- Review of high-level interface at Main Contractor level and Interface Control Package Leads between various parties, including the Client's leads.
